 ern Time\nWhat does your classroom library offer?\nWe believe that literar
 y texts have the power to \naffirm students’ myriad identities and foste
 r belonging. \nDuring this workshop\, participants will discuss the impac
 t of diverse narratives on building a sense of belonging\, analyze current
  reading materials through an inventory audit\, discuss classroom practice
 s that promote a sense of belonging for all learners\, and share ideas and
  strategies for overcoming challenges in implementing inclusive reading ma
 terials. Partner work\, small group and whole group activities will lead t
 hese different discussions and participants will be provided with resource
 s and questions to consider from the Learning for Justice frameworks. “C
 hange the Narrative" aims to empower educators to be catalysts for positiv
 e change in the narratives of their students\, fostering a sense of belong
 ing for all.\n*Participants will be able to identify positive characterist
 ics and recommend areas for growth in their current literary selections.\n
 *Participants will be able to articulate options for modifying less-than-d
 esirable resources to include more diverse identities and perspectives.\n*
 Participants will be able to cultivate a philosophy for choosing diverse r
 esources that corresponds to the needs of their school community.\nJoin Ju

 ing materials\, promote critical literacy\, and create inclusive learning
